Justin Burkhaulter

Founder | CEO | CFO

My passion for electronics started early in life. As a child, I was always fascinated by how things worked and “what was inside.” So much so that I even took apart a brand new Nintendo on my birthday that was a gift from my parents. I was 7 or 8 years old at the time, and it continued with me in life.

While attending college in 2008, I worked as a sales associate at a local big box electronics store. That is where I got my first taste in the installation of electronics. I was fortunate enough to spend my 20s growing in the industry, starting at the bottom of the ladder as a pre-wire tech with a custom integration firm. While there, I watched the evolution of satellite tv, then HD TV, and on into flat panel TVs. I think that is one of the things I love so much about technology. It continues to grow and evolve.

I continued to aspire to higher and higher goals in the industry, obtaining many certifications which gave me the opportunity to have more input and experience through real-world applications. I owe a lot of my success to those individuals I worked for. They saw my passion for the industry and allowed me to develop my skills. I was able to learn more about business ownership as a whole and how to communicate well with others.

I started Bandera Networks in 2014 with myself and a 2005 F150 pickup. I believed there was a high demand for the home network to evolve to mimic a business network. More and More devices were going online, and the AV industry was not keeping up from a service level. There was a niche, and we responded to it. As time passed, I rolled my knowledge of Audio Video and Home Automation back into the list of services we offered, many because our clients requested us to.

Today, my passion is still home electronics and using them to simplify the daily lives of our clients. We believe that working technology makes people happy; we exist to make people happy. We have taken this to the next level by servicing the Multi-Family industry, not just the amenity spaces. We take the technology to every apartment in the complex.

When I'm not working on Bandera Networks, I enjoy my home life with my wonderful wife, Natalie, who is the true rock behind Bandera Networks. Natalie's support has never faltered and means so much to me. I love you, sweetheart!

We have two children, Jenna and Brian. Being the best father I can be for them is the happiest feeling in the world. I love them so much and enjoy seeing them flourish in the world.

When we have time off, we love traveling, seeing new places, and playing games with the kids.

“There is nothing you can't do, only things you haven't done yet.”

Thor Olson

COO | VP of Operations

I have focused on business operations during my 18 years as a systems integrator, designer, programmer, installer, and now owner. I have developed a strong skill set and intuition towards building and running an efficient and productive business in both the custom electronics industry and multi-family space.

I joined Bandera in January 2020 as a technician with Justin’s vision of opening a new business in the multifamily sector. The pandemic offered an opportunity in a time of uncertainty and the need for remote showings of rentals for our clients. Our newfound opportunity drove home the need for strategic operations and process standardization. This ultimately allowed Justin and I to partner on this new journey for Bandera Networks!

Home is my sanctuary. My beautiful wife and mother of our three wonderful children make our house into a home. We love the water, and it makes no difference whether it’s a pool, lake, or ocean — it is where we are most content.

Edward Arrona

Director of Network and AV

Edward oversees Banderas’ residential operations, heading the network and AV division. In January 2018, Edward joined Bandera after selling his partnership with a previous AV installation company. His experience and enthusiasm for the company have been invaluable. In addition to enjoying the day-to-day operations of the field, he enjoys research and development the most. In order to ensure a satisfactory product, he loves being the “guinea pig” for any new technology. In addition to sales and design, he is involved in project management and new client development, and he is committed to making sure all clients are happy with the technology they use. Despite working in the industry for 17 years, he has never considered it work. Edward is an avid Star Trek fan and enjoys spending time with his wife and five cats. As a way to unwind, he enjoys trying out new recipes on his smoker and going to the gun range.

Joey Salazar

Field Operations Manager

I have previously worked at different jobs/companies, as we all have, but I never had a sense that I was part of a family until I found Bandera. Our structure and culture are second to none.

I am one of the Ops Managers at Bandera, overseeing operational activities for our IOT department. In short, my goal is to measure productivity by analyzing performance and financial data, enabling me to provide strategic solutions to any and all unforeseen circumstances.

I have an enormous family, so most of my spare time is enjoyed at a sports complex of some sort watching my children have fun. If not there, I will be standing behind a grill, making magic happen.
